David Ganderton

However, Dave’s journey into the legal field began in undergrad, 23 years ago, at the Florida State University, when he took a “psychology and the law” class. The class had a guest speaker who made a significant impact on Dave’s life. The speaker was a local prosecutor who discussed how the State Attorney’s Office prosecuted cases for the state, on behalf of victims. Dave knew, as he listened to this presentation that this was what he wanted to do for a living – he wanted to help others seek justice. After graduating from Florida State, Cum Laude, with a BS in psychology and minor in criminology, Dave went to law school at Stetson University College of Law – Florida’s oldest and most established law school. During his final year of law school, Dave interned at the State Attorney’s Office, in a juvenile division, and got his first experience trying cases. After graduating from Stetson Law in 2007, Dave took a position as an Assistant State Attorney in Sarasota, Florida, and lived out his dream of prosecuting cases and helping victims.
Working as a prosecutor fueled Dave’s passion for working on behalf of victims and building cases from the ground up. In 2009, he moved to Colorado and lateraled into a position as a Deputy District Attorney where he prosecuted felony cases until 2011.
After leaving the DA’s office, Dave went on to work as an insurance defense attorney where he worked for major insurance companies primarily on car accident cases, personal injury cases, and bad faith litigation. During his time working for “the other side,” he learned what the insurance companies were looking for from a plaintiff and a plaintiff’s attorney, and what could be used to help, or hurt, a persons’ claim.
Toward the end of 2013, wanting to get back to helping victims seek justice, and now understanding the inner workings of insurance companies, he opened a personal injury law firm, and for the past decade he has been handling personal injury claims on behalf of victims.
The trial and actual court room experience Dave received from working as a prosecutor, combined with his experience working as an insurance defense attorney becomes invaluable when working on your personal injury claim.
Dave has represented, and litigated against, some of the largest insurance companies in the nation. He has tried multi-million dollar cases, and obtained multi-million dollar settlements for victims of negligent acts. Dave knows what insurance companies look for, and knows how to present your case to a jury if it ever gets to that point.

Katie Ganderton is a true leader, and has led teams of thousands of people in her past companies. She understands people, processes, order, and has a true passion for helping people and raising others up. She is a fighter who also believes in human decency and respecting all people.
The founding of Ganderton Law is a labor of love for both her and Dave and she loves being able to spend time with her husband discussing the future of the firm and how to maximize the positive experience for the clients of Ganderton Law.
Katie can be found planning the firm’s future, building deep relationships in our local community, supporting other women, and working on marketing for the firm.
Katie loves world travel, has lived in Japan while in the Marine Corp, and has traveled all over the world with her husband and three rambunctious boys. On the weekends, she loves hiking in the foothills with her family, or skiing in the mountains of Colorado.
Charlene Adams
Paralegal
Charlene comes with a wealth of experience and is an essential member of our team! Charlene has seven years of experience as a pre-litigation paralegal, and has worked on numerous types of civil and criminal cases. Just before joining Ganderton Law, Charlene was a paralegal/case manager for a large accident and injury center where she worked directly with individuals who were injured as a result of a car accident, their medical providers, attorneys, and the car and health insurance companies.
Charlene is heavily involved with the clients at Ganderton Law, and deeply understands both the personal side of personal injury cases, the insurance side, and the medical side.
In her free time, Charlene loves to spend time with her family, try new recipes while watching old movies, and loves to play with her grand dog Harley.
